Requirements for piercing?

I've recently turned 18, and want to come in for a piercing. I have yet to renew my old class C license, but it's only been expired for 3 days. Can I get pierced by showing this license or do I need to renew it beforehand?

Unfortunately the state requires us to have a valid form of government issued, photo identification. Passports work as well!
