hood piercing

Posted by curiouspiercer from IP: 207.119.61.208 on 06/14/09

I've been planning on getting a hood piercing for a while now. I got my belly button pierced twice and they both migrated and was forced to take it out. If I get a clitoris hood piercing, what are my chances on it migrating or rejecting? Would a smaller gauge piercing be better or have a less likelihood of migrating?

A navel piercing is a surface piercing of a sorts. So it has more of a chance to migrate. The hood is an actual piece of skin protruding from the body so there should be less of a chance of it migrating. However some people are more genetically prone to rejecting foreign objects from there body. A thinner gauge would actually in most cases make it easier to migrate. Is there anything else I can help you with?
